THE DAVID AND JEANNIE PRICE SCHOLARSHIP FUND HISTORY
The David and Jeannie Price Scholarship Fund was established in November of 2007 by Mr. David Price through the Baton Rouge Area Foundation. Mr. Price wanted to honor his alma mater, the University of Missouri and the city in which he had a successful career, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Scholarships are made available to provide scholarships to full time juniors or seniors pursuing an undergraduate degree in business at either Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge or University of Missouri in Columbia or who maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.
Each year, up to ten scholarships will be awarded to qualified candidates attending Louisiana State University, and ten scholarships will be awarded to qualified candidates attending the University of Missouri. Each scholarship shall be a onetime award of $3,000.
In addition to submitting the Common Application, applicants must submit the following:
- Academic resume
- Personal statement or essay
- Letter of recommendation from the applicant’s employer or internship supervisor
- Letter of recommendation from one of the applicant’s professors
University of Missouri applications must be submitted by May 1.
Louisiana State University - Baton Rouge applications must be submitted by Sept. 30
