Impossible? Not for our members.
They know only one direction: FORWARD.
The Baton Rouge Area Foundation is celebrating our most productive year yet. We completed a master plan for saving the Baton Rouge Lakes and another for creating a Health District for the city. The Water Campus is taking shape. So is the Ardendale development. We made a persuasive case for building a mental health treatment center in Baton Rouge and began a blueprint for improving services for people with autism.
All of our projects are possible only because of our members. Help us do even more this year. Become a member or renew your membership to the Baton Rouge Area Foundation. You may even choose which of our projects you would like to see your membership dollars support:
—The Ernest J. Gaines Award for Literary Excellence: In it's 10th year, the Ernest J. Gaines Award supports upcoming African-American writers.
—Baton Rouge Lakes
—Innovation Projects: New projects come up, are researched and staffed by the Foundation and then set out as their own entities. These include bike share, car share, the Baton Rouge Health District, BR-NOLA commuter rail and the mental health treatment center. Your membership dollars support great innovations for our community.
