The Baton Rouge Area Foundation offers free use of our main conference room to area nonprofits. Please be sure to read our usage policies & reservation procedures below before reserving a room. All room reservations will be considered tentative until confirmed by the building manager three days before your event.

Conference Center services include:

  • Standard audio capabilities
  • Complimentary coffee, soft drinks and bottled water
Eligibility Criteria
All greater Baton Rouge area and surrounding nonprofit organizations may request to use the Foundation's Conference Center. Groups must be registered as 501(c)(3) nonprofits to use the conference facilities.

Room for Use
The conference room seats up to 50 people. 

Hours of Use
The conference room is available for meetings Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and Fridays between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Food and Beverages
Food and beverages are allowed in all conference rooms. Complimentary coffee, soft drinks and water are included with each room reservation.

Cost
There is no rental charge for the rooms or most amenities. Miscellaneous supplies may be coordinated through the Foundation for a nominal charge with advance notice. All catering costs, beyond the Foundation's complimentary service, are the responsibility of the host organization.

Reservation Cancellation
All reservations must be confirmed no less than five days before the event. The Foundation reserves the right to cancel reservations at its discretion.

Ethical Standards
The Foundation presumes that all organizations hosting events at the Center will uphold high ethical standards and not discrimate based on race, color, religion, sex, age or handicap.

Guest Parking (Parking is not provided)
There is no parking lot associated with the Baton Rouge Area Foundation. There are some coin metered parking spaces around the building, and also a paid lot across the street from the Foundation (on 4th and Laurel) in which spots are $2 per hour or $5 per day. We do not validate parking stubs for any events.

Smoke-Free Building
The Baton Rouge Area Foundation building and surroundings are smoke-free environments. 

Host Responsibilities
Host organization must inform their guests of the non-smoking policies and locations of the parking areas prior to their events. Also, organizations must notify the building manager, conference center associate or receptionist when spills occur or when the restrooms need attention. Organizations not following these rules may not be able to reserve Foundation conference rooms in the future.

Contact the Foundation to discuss your event and check room availability. Conference rooms may be reserved by calling Emmy Comeaux at (225) 387-6126 or emailing her at ecomeaux@braf.org.
It is recommended that each host make an appointment to view the Conference Center, discuss usage policies and logistics to ensure that your meeting and the facility are a good match.

All room reservations will be considered tentative until the Reservation Request is received, even if you are a returning host or guest organization.
