The Family Road Dedicated Dads Fatherhood program works on building stronger families by building stronger dads. The Dedicated Dads program focuses on educating men to become fathers through life skills and job/career training to improve their economic condition; then by building stronger, and lasting relationships between fathers and their children. Subsequently, the self-esteem & confidence levels of fathers grows, allowing them to regain some measure of self-respect & discipline as well as structure in their lives so that they can provide for their families. The Angelina and Huey Wilson Foundation issued a challenge grant of $25,000 for the program. Once matched funds will be used to sustain the program which is currently awaiting TANF reauthorization monies from the federal government.
