
The Foundation offers scholarships to graduating seniors and college students. The scholarships have been created by donors to the Foundation. Scholarships are primarily awarded based on financial need, academic achievement, and good citizenship.
To apply for a scholarship, please review the related guidelines, determine your eligibility, and submit the appropriate materials. Our staff will review all of the applications, schedule any necessary interviews, and submit materials to the Foundation board for review and final decision.
Be sure to follow the guidelines carefully. Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted. Prior to submitting your completed application, be sure to review all requirements and ensure that you meet the designated deadline.

The Asparagus Club was founded in 1909 to generate a spirit of cooperation and fellowship among members of the grocery industry. The purpose of the Asparagus Club Scholarship Fund is to enhance the future of the grocery industry by investing in the education of deserving young people who are pursuing a career in the grocery industry. The Fund awards a college sophomore or junior a two year scholarship of up to $3,000 per year to be used toward tuition and fees.

Associated Grocers-Sam S. Politz Scholarship Fund is dedicated to the memory of Sam S. Politz, a former President and Chief Executive Officer of Associated Grocers, Inc. The Fund is to provide cash scholarships to assist selected graduating/graduated high school students who will enroll in a college or university.

The Babin Family Scholarship Fund provides an annual scholarship to a graduate at Dutchtown High School. The scholarship honors Babin family educators who taught for more than 100 years in the Dutchtown school system. The recipient will be a person graduating with a sound record of achievement in his or her studies and of outstanding school citizenship.

Stephen W. Cavanaugh Scholarship Fund Application: {

The Stephen W. Cavanaugh Scholarship Fund was established in 2007 by Louisiana Workers' Compensation Corp. to honor the memory of Mr. Cavanaugh, the insurer's first CEO. The fund provides scholarships to deserving Louisiana students who are majoring in insurance-related fields at a Louisiana university, college or community college.

Roger J. Clouatre Memorial Scholarship Fund Application: {

Clouatre Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in January of 2002 by the Clouatre Family to provide a one-time scholarship in the amount of $500 to a qualified public school Ascension Parish graduate who will attend an accredited, two and/or four year, college or university. The scholarship may be used toward the following: tuition and fees; room and board; books and supplies; and commuting expenses.

Darensbourg-Cook Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1992 by the Cook Family to provide $4,000 scholarships disbursed $500 for eight semesters to students who are obtaining a degree and/or certifications in education at a certified Louisiana university. The Aaron Bernard Murray and Fay Tyler Murray Education Encouragement Fund was established to recognize annually a person graduating from Baton Rouge High School who has a record of sound achievement in her or his studies and of good school citizenship. The Fund is not a scholarship; instead, it is an award and incentive for young adults who show leadership qualities within and beyond their peer group and who have taken initiative in school and/or the broader civic life of the community. The recipient will receive a cash award and will be honored at Baton Rouge High School's annual Honors Day Program.

The Rotary Club of Baton Rouge, Inc. Foundation Scholarship Fund is funded through the generosity of Dr. Louis Capozzoli, a long-time Baton Rouge Rotarian. The fund offers six different scholarships to assist students achieve their academic goals. Scholarships are available to rising seniors at Catholic High School and St. Joseph’s Academy, students participating in the international exchange program at Southeastern Louisiana University and Louisiana State University, and to a male and a female pursuing a graduate engineering degree in the U.S.
