The Foundation, in alliance with many partners, conducts projects for civic good. It began for us nearly 20 years ago with a master plan for downtown Baton Rouge. Plan Baton Rouge, as that plan was called, has drawn more than $2 billion downtown investment since. Since then, we've created master plans for inner city neighborhoods, Baton Rouge Lakes and a Health District. With the city-parish, we've started the East Baton Rouge Redevelopment Authority and created a nonprofit that operates the animal shelter. We assist nonprofits with strategic plans and fundraising.

Initiatives we are working on now include implementing the lakes master plan, pursuing bike share for Baton Rouge, improving mobility across the region, advocating for commuter rail between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, creating a treatment center for the mentally ill, and providing a path to improving services to people on the autism spectrum.

Numbering nearly 600, our members underwrite civic projects. We thank them, and ask you to join them at this link. Memberships start at $100.
